Racers Honor Senior Class In Final Home Game

Racer Basketball Senior Day saw Quincy Anderson, Rob Perry and Shawn Walker, Jr. honored
The Murray State Racers held Senior Day activities Wednesday when Quincy Anderson, Rob Perry and Shawn Walker, Jr., were honored during the pregame before the Racers hosted the Belmont Bruins.

The Racers found themselves on the wrong side of a 83-61 final in the last home game of the 2023-24 season at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky.

The Racers (12-18) fell to 9-10 in The Missouri Valley Conference as they travel to Terre Haute to end the regular season for a Sunday 2 p.m. CT game with the Indiana State Sycamores.

Rob Perry led the Racers with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Quincy Anderson added 10 points.

- On Senior Day Anderson, Perry and Walker were all in the MSU starting lineup.
- MSU student managers, Blake Dattilo and Logan Dick were also honored before the game.
- The Racers finished their 26th season in the CFSB Center 8-8.
- Quincy Anderson entered the game looking to achieve the 1,500-point mark in his career between the Racers and Minnesota State and stands at 1,489 heading into Sunday's game at Indiana State.
- Anderson has hit a 3-pointer in the last nine games.
- The announced crowd of 5,039 marks 12th crowd of 5,000 or larger this season for the Racers at the CFSB Center.
- By Sunday evening, the field will be set for 2024 State Farm Arch Madness (March 7-10) in St. Louis, Missouri.
- The Enterprise Center is set to host the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Tournament which will be staged in the Gateway City for a 34th consecutive year.
- This will be the Racers' second go at Arch Madness after they went 1-1 in 2023 with a 78-50 win over Valparaiso and a 72-64 loss to champion Drake Bulldogs.
