Racers Drop First Game to Indiana State

Murray State softball falls 1-2 in an eight-inning defensive showdown.
In A Nutshell
Murray State softball drops their first game of their series against Indiana State 1-2, Friday. This game was Murray State's first time this season that they had to play extra innings.

The Racers are now 16-20 overall and 4-7 in Missouri Valley Conference play.

How it Went
The Racers opened up the scoring in the second inning through Kayleigh White's double that was finished by Courtney Sandy as she pinch ran and scored a run at home through a wild pitch.
Â
After two scoreless innings the Sycamores scored a run of their own in the fifth winning before clinching the game with a run at the top of the eighth inning.

What's next?
Murray State and Indiana State will be a doubleheader to decide the series, tomorrow.
