Murray State Soccer Welcomes New Assistant Coach

Brad Wilson joins Matt Lodge’s coaching staff for the 2024 season.
Murray State women's soccer coach Matt Lodge announced Brad Wilson as his new assistant coach ahead of the 2024 season.
Wilson joins the Racers soccer staff after working as a graduate assistant for Midway University in 2022-23, where he helped lead the Eagles to their first conference tournament appearance since the 2017 season, which was also Wilson's senior year with the program.
Wilson, a native of Doncaster, England, was a two-time First Team All-Conference while at Midway as well as receiving All-Region honors in 2016 and 2017. Wilson was a part of the Eagles roster when they were River States Conference runner ups in 2017, leading the conference in overall points, goals and assists.
He continued to make his impact on Midway's soccer program, earning Outstanding Individual Performance and Male Athlete of the Year at Midway University in 2018. Wilson holds the all-time record for goals and assists at Midway. Through two seasons, he netted 24 goals and dished 18 assists.
Prior to his collegiate playing days, Wilson played at the Nottingham Forest Youth Academy during his teenage years from 2013-15 before moving to Boston United 2015-17. In 2019, Wilson signed a one-year professional contract to play for Sudet in Finland.
Wilson earned his Bachelor's degree in sports management in 2018 and his Master's degree in Business Administration in 2024 from Midway.
