Murray State Signs Hungarian Midfielder Sara Szarvas

MURRAY, Ky. - Murray State women's soccer program announces the official signing of midfielder Sara Szarvas of Kecskemet, Hungary.
Szarvas joins the Racers after playing for Puskás Akadémia in the Hungarian First Division. She helped the senior team finish second in the league standings in 2026 and third in 2025. The club also finished as the runner-up in the Hungarian Cup.
Szarvas was named the league's Breakthrough Player of the Year in 2024.
During her youth career, she won the Hungarian U19 Championship with Puskás Akadémia U19 in 2023. She also won an international youth tournament in France with Ferencvárosi TC U14 in 2019.
Born in Budapest, Szarvas graduated from Felcsuti Letenyes Lajos Gimnazium in 2025. She is the daughter of Gabriella Roza and has two siblings, Zsombor, 25, and Boroka, 13.
Szarvas will major in nutrition and dietetics on the nutrition and foods track at Murray State.
