A Pair of Aces – Nimmo & Wall Go Low at KY State Amateur

Murray State golf student-athletes Jay Nimmo and Trey Wall are making a run at the state title in Hebron, Ky.
Murray State men's golf student-athletes, Jay Nimmo and Trey Wall, each made a hole-in-one Wednesday at the Traditions Golf Club at the 110th Kentucky State Amateur Championship second round in Hebron, Ky.
Not only did the Racer duo make a hole-in-one at the state's biggest event, they did it in the same round and on the same hole, the No. 5 Par-3 that played to a length of 131 yards.
Wall is in the hunt for the championship through 36 holes with a in second place after scores of 68-68=136 (7-under par), as he is one shot off the lead of Brady Smith.
Nimmo sits in 18th place after rounds of 71-74=145 (3-over par).
The aces by Nimmo and Wall mark the first for the Racers since 2021 when Connor Coombs made a hole-in-one playing for the Racers at the SIUE event in Madison, Illinois at Gateway National.
Nimmo and Wall play the final round of the Kentucky State Amateur Thursday.
