Landon Hunt Signs With Racer Golf

Murray State men's golf coach Jacob Miller announced the signing of Landon Hunt out of Paducah, Kentucky.

From McCracken County High School, Hunt will be a freshman with the Racers in fall 2026.

"Landon is going to be a great asset to our program for the next four years," said Coach Miller. "He's a proven winner and steps up when the lights get bright. Landon is a great example of the talent that West Kentucky Golf is producing and that's going to be on full display at the collegiate level starting next fall with the Racers. August can't get here soon enough!"

Hunt's senior season with the Mustangs capped off a stellar prep career by being named to the 2025 Kentucky Mr. Golf Award by the Kentucky High School Athletics Association (KHSAA).

He won the 2025 KHSAA State Championship with a record-tying score of 68-68=136 (8-under-par).

Hunt's career saw him excel with 39 junior event victories and he rose as high as 129th in the nation and the third-ranked player in Kentucky by Junior Golf Scoreboard.

At MCHS, Hunt was a three-time KHSAA Region-I Player of the Year and individual champion, as he also reached the semifinals of the KHSAA State Championship twice.
