Racers Tennis Sends Three Players to ITA Conference Masters Championships

Murray State Tennis will send Valeria Chaikovskaia, Varvara Alexeyeva and Barbora Hermanova were selected this week to represent the MVC at the ITA Conference Masters Championships in San Diego, Calif on Nov 6 – 9.
Valeria Chaikovskaia will be the MVC representative in Singles.
Varvara Alexeyeva and Barbora Hermanova will be the MVC representatives in Doubles.
Chaikovskaia is 6-2 for the season and won the Redbird Invitational Flight 1 Singles. Alexeyeva and Hermanova are 4-2 and were winners of the Redbird Invitational Flight 1 Doubles.
The Redbird Invitational was hosted by Illinois State and all MVC schools competed.
The ITA Conference Masters Championships is part of the new pathway to the NCAA Individual Championships. Each conference sends a singles player and a doubles pairing to compete in a single elimination tournament where all 4 singles semifinalists and the first, second, and third place in doubles receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Individual Championships which will take place from November 18-23 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
