The Racers competed in The Valley Championship in Evansville
The Murray State men's cross country team turned in an 11th place finish at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship at Angel Mounds State Park in Evansville, Indiana.
Â
MSU's top finisher in the 8K event was sophomore, Dylan Ellis, with a spot in 56th place on a time of 25:59.90.
Â
"What's motivating about the men's program is that our top half are all returning for next year," said MSU Coach Jordan Johnston. "There's so much potential in this group and some of them just essentially need more time to develop and get the mileage stacked season after season. Overall, it wasn't the outcome we wanted, but I choose to focus more on the future and with Dylan and Nick having another two years and Tedi only being a freshman, I think there's time to adjust and set bigger goals for 2026 and 2027."
Â
Now the Racers look forward to the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship (Nov. 14) in Charlottesville, Virginia.
