The Murray State Cross Country competed Saturday at Tom Sawyer Park
The Murray State Men's Cross Country team competed in the 24th annual Live in Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday.
Â
MSU's Dylan Ellis and Ben Crask each posted their second-fastest career 8K time Saturday afternoon at E.P. Tom "Sawyer" Park, as part of one of the most-attended cross country meet in the USA.
Â
MSU freshman, Tedi Henderson, shaved off 57 seconds for this distance in just his third event in the Blue & Gold.
Â
"Tedi showed up in a huge way today and that's great for him to see progress," said MSU Coach Jordan Johnston. "The conditions today were very hot, but Tedi showed patience in the first half of the race and did a great job moving up. He had the confidence of a more seasoned 8K athlete and I'm excited to see how he progresses throughout his career"
Â
On the horizon for the Racer runners are two trips to Angel Mounds State Park in Evansville, Ind. The first visit (Oct. 17) is the Angel Mounds Invitational and a week later, the Missouri Valley Conference Championships are also there (Oct. 31).
