Vogel Named to All-MVC First Team

Ella Vogel makes her second appearance on the All-MVC First Team.
Ella Vogel was named to the 2025 All-MVC First Team, as announced by the league office in St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday morning. Â
The senior tallied 322 kills on the season while averaging 3.58 kills per set, second best in the Missouri Valley Conference. Across 90 sets played this season, Vogel featured the highest hitting percentage of her season at .252 and contributed defensively with 106 digs and 51.0 total blocks. Â
The Cape Girardeau, Missouri native etched her name in the Murray State Volleyball record book, joining the 1000 kill club this season and moving to fifth in kills in program history with a career total of 1299. Vogel entered the 1000 kill club with her first kill in the Racers' Aug. 29th game against Tennessee Tech, and surpassed Jill Doty for fifth all-time in kills during the Racers' Nov. 13 match against Belmont. Â
Vogel adds another award to her already impressive resume that includes being named to the 2024 All Missouri Valley Conference First-Team, 2024Â Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Scholar-Athlete Second-Team, and the 2023 Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Scholar-Athlete Second-Team.
