Four members of the 2025 Murray State volleyball team were recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference as members of the 2025 Scholar-Athlete Team, as announced on Tuesday by the league office in St. Louis, Mo.
Seniors Ella Vogel and Federica Nuccio were joined by juniors Lily Burnett and Alexa Watts.
Vogel was the Racers' top offensive threat this season, totaling 322 kills and adding 106 digs and 49 blocks. The senior hails from Cape Girardeau, Mo., and features a 3.66 GPA as a biology major.
Nuccio was a versatile presence on the court all season for the Racers, tallying 162 kills along with a team-high 26 aces and 166 digs. The Frossasco, Italy, native features a 3.86 GPA and is majoring in business administration.
Lily Burnett finished the 2025 season with an average of 2.20 kills per set and was fourth on the team with 112 kills. A hometown product, the Murray, Ky., native has a 3.63 GPA while majoring in exercise science.
Alexa Watts averaged 1.76 kills per set across 54 sets played for a total of 95 on the year. The junior from Rocklin, Calif., features a perfect 4.0 GPA and is majoring in political science.
