Racers vs Toledo for 3rd Place at Rust Buster Match Play

The Murray State Racers women's golf team split their quarterfinal and semifinal competitions Monday at the Rust Buster Match Play at King's Ridge Country Club in Clermont, Fla.

The fourth seeded team, Murray Statse defeated fifth seed Akron in the quarterfinals in a tiebreaker, before falling in the semifinals to top seed Omaha 4-2.

The Racers take on Toledo in Tuesday's third place match starting at 8 a.m. Eastern Time.

The Racers' win over Akron was made possible when Ella Scherer birdied the last two holes to win over Akron's Maisarah Hezri.
