Murray State women's golf placed 7th at the Georgia State Invitational this week

Murray State women's golf finished seventh at the Georgia State Invitational as Patti Patterson and Elin Tynan each finished inside the top 15 at the event in Johns Creek, Ga. Patterson finished seventh overall in the field with a three-over for the week and posted a 72 in the final round to jump nine spots on the leaderboard. Elin Tynan's 14th place finish was highlighted by a one-under 71 in the first round of the tournament on Monday.

Ella Scherer finished 34th overall after posting a 12-over for the event. As a team, MSU posted scores of 303+303+298=904 and moved up three spots on Tuesday.

The Racers will play host for their next tournament of the spring as the Jan Weaver Invitational will be held at Miller Memorial Golf Course on April 11 and 12.
