Tynan Paces Racers in Banister Classic – Round 1

The Racers are playing in north Alabama at the Chris Banister Classic
The Murray State women's golf team had a spot in third place after the first day of play at the Chris Banister Classic at Silver Springs Golf Course in Oneonta, Alabama.
The Racers carded a 313, three shots from Richmond at 310, as they chase the host team and the leader, Jacksonville State at 298.
MSU freshman, Elin Tynan led the Racers with a spot in fourth place after a 3-over-par 75 and was three shots off the lead of JSU's Paula Perez Cubinas and Gabi Nicastro of Samford each at 72.
The 54-hole event plays the second round Monday with the final round on Tuesday.
