Murray State Athletics Announces Vision For Excellence Fund

With the landscape of intercollegiate athletics rapidly changing as a result of the recently approved NCAA vs. House settlement, Murray State Athletics has formed the Vision For Excellence Fund to reward those who are investing their time, talents, and treasures into the department's shared vision for competitive excellence.

This newly-created investment fund will be primarily focused on revenue share and other roster management resources in a highly-competitive world as the Racers look to continue to compete for and win championships as members of the Missouri Valley Conference and the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

"We have been committed to taking Murray State Athletics to new heights through our shared vision for excellence, and the Vision For Excellence Fund will be a driving force to further build upon that plan," Director of Athletics Nico Yantko said. "College athletics is constantly evolving, and this gives our investors a unique way to invest in revenue share for our student-athletes like never before. Over the last three athletic seasons, we have experienced a tremendous amount of success through our proactive approaches to this ever-evolving landscape, and this new initiative will propel us into the future as we look to continue to compete for and win championships."

Investors will receive FIVE Racer Club priority points for every $100 committed. These points will be added into the lifetime point total reflected in the priority point rankings, which is used to determine postseason seating location and more.

In addition to the priority points earned for donations, all gifts made into the Vision For Excellence Fund are tax deductible.

This new fundraising strategy comes after the final decision of the House vs. NCAA settlement, which formally approved a new revenue-sharing model and established new roster limitations for intercollegiate athletics, among other changes.
