MSU women’s golf has qualified multiple academic All-America honors for the 14th consecutive year
With a program that has held a high level of academic performance since 1993, the Murray State women's golf team again posted a great group of student-athletes that have been named All-American Scholars as announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) from their home office in Coral Springs, Florida.
Â
The Racers saw five receive designation as WGCA All-American Scholars including Eliza Mae Kho, Patti Patterson, Ella Scherer, Elin Tynan and
Tina Von Arx.
Â
"I am very proud of what our team was able to accomplish in the classroom and in their field of study for the 2025-25 school year," said MSU Head Coach Philip Nelson. "Results follow the work and our entire team puts in the effort academically. Congrats to this group of Racers for earning this honor from our national women's golf coaches' group."
Â
Nearly 1,500 student-athletes were honored across all levels of women's collegiate golf by the WCGA.
Â
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
Â
The Murray State women's golf program has now produced 77 WGCA All-America Scholars selections since 1998 and the Racers have had multiple selections in each of the last 14 years.
Â
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, represents over 600 coaches throughout the nation.
