Murray State Athletics 2025 Hall of Fame Class Announced

Murray State Athletics announced the 43rd class to the MSU Hall of Fame as a collection of Racer Greats will be recognized in early 2026. The exact date for MSU Hall of Fame Weekend will be announced soon.

The 2025 class includes: Danny Alfeldt, Alexa Becker, Casey Brockman, Marcus Harris, Rachel Giustino, Tonia Pratt, Ivan Roe, Cuthbert Victor.

"On behalf of each of our student-athletes, coaches and staff, I want to congratulate our newest inductees to the Murray State Athletics Hall of Fame," Director of Athletics Nico Yantko said. "Being inducted into the Hall of Fame is a tremendous honor, and these Racer greats are incredibly deserving of this recognition. We are looking forward to celebrating them in the coming months."

Each of the class of eight former student-athletes were generational game-changers in their sport. They combined for several program records and many still stand today decades after their final time in the Blue and Gold. It is not hyperbole to state that all of them were destined to be enshrined in the MSU Hall. It was only a matter of time.

Danny Alfeldt (Baseball, 1987-91)
The oldest member of the 2025 class, Alfeldt came to MSU in the late 1980s to play for legendary coach Johnny Reagan. Alfeldt finished as MSU's career leader in at-bats, hits and doubles. He also teamed with another MSU Hall of Fame pick, Kirk Rueter, to help Murray State win the 1991 Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship.

Alexa Becker (Softball, 2011-15)
An instant starter for the Racers the moment she stepped foot on campus in 2012, Becker was a three-time All-OVC pick and was a two-time CoSida Academic All-America selection. A decade after her final game, she remains MSU's career leader in runs scored (153) and is third in RBI (132) and seventh in hits (198).

Casey Brockman (Football, 2009-12)
Along with teammate Marcus Harris, they are the third QB/WR tandem to be inducted into the MSU Hall of Fame following: Larry Tillman (inducted 1978) & Harvey Tanner (Inducted in 1992) and Mike Cherry & Reggie Swinton (Inducted each in 2022). A hometown kid from Murray, Brockman developed into a high-level passer in the Hatch Attack of head coach Chris Hatcher and rewrote every passing record at MSU. He was a back -to-back All-America selection in 2011 & 2012, Walter Payton Award finalist and one of only six three-time All-OVC selections in the history of Racer Football.

Marcus Harris (Football 2007-10)
When he played his final game at MSU in 2010, Harris was the program's all-time leader in receptions (216), yards (2,471) and touchdowns (22). He was a key player in one of the most amazing games in Racer history on homecoming day at Roy Stewart Stadium (Oct. 9, 2010) when the Racers defeated Missouri State 72-59 as he and Brockman led the Racers to their modern era points record. Harris played five seasons in the NFL with the Lions (2011), Titans (2012) and Giants (2013-15) and also spent time playing in the United Football League and the Arena Football League.

Rachel Giustino (Volleyball 2016-19)
Played as a freshman with MSU Hall of Famer Scottie Ingram in 2016 and by 2019, Giustino had topped all of her records and played on two OVC championship teams for Coach Dave Schwepker. From 2017-19, Giustino was three-time All-OVC selection, 2019 OVC Player of the Year and All-America by the American Volleyball Coaches Association and Volleyball Magazine in 2019.

Tonia Pratt (Track & Field 2011-15)
Came to Murray State in the fall of 2011 to compete for then head coach Jenny Severns and current head coach Adam Kiesler. Pratt was a start from the start as she was the 2012 OVC Freshman of the Year and won the OVC indoor weight throw and won the OVC outdoor hammer throw. By the time she was finished, Pratt was a seven-time OVC champion and remains MSU's record holder in shot put, discuss and hammer throw.

Ivan Roe (Rifle 2014-18)
A year after he was celebrated for competing in the Paris Olympic games, Roe returns to MSU as part of the 2025 Hall of Fame class. In a storied career for Racer Rifle, Roe competed for Coach Alan Lollar and set the highest standard that MSU Rifle competitors are hoping to match. Roe was a seven-time All-America selection for the Racers. In 2016, he was named CoSida Academic All-America and topped it off winning the NCAA Elite 99 Award. In four seasons, Roe led the Racers in both guns in a combined in 42 matches. He is currently serving as a Sargent in the U.S. Army.

Cuthbert Victor (Basketball 2000-04)
Out of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Victor came to Murray State to play for fellow MSU Hall of Famer, Coach Tevester Anderson in fall 2000 and was a 2004 All-America and OVC Player of the Year as a senior for Coach Mick Cronin. Victor remains ninth all-time at MSU in field goal percentage & Top-20 in points and career field goals made. Part of multiple championship teams for the Racers, Victor is still MSU's all-time shot blocker. Victor enjoyed a 13-year professional career (2004-17) that saw him play in Spain for seven seasons on five different teams and also in Russia, France, South Korea and Puerto Rico. He was also a veteran player for the Virgin Islands National Team.

Murray State Hall of Fame Notes

The MSU Hall of Fame was launched in 1965 under athletics director Coach Roy Stewart who led MSU Football from 1932-67. He was inducted in 1971.
Inaugural class of 1965: Harlan Brodie (Football, 1927-1930), Joe Fulks (Basketball, 1941-42), Marshall Gage (Track & Field, 1957-61) and John Powless (Tennis, 1955-57).
The 2025 class is the 43rd to be inducted and brings the total number enshrined at MSU to 196.
