Sixth Place Finish for the Racers to Start the Spring Season

Lennon Albans and Trey Wall led the team, each finishing inside the top 20
Murray State men's golf finished their first tournament of the season with a sixth place finish at the Gulf Coast Collegiate at English Turn Country Club in New Orleans, Louisiana. Junior Lennon Albans led the Racers with a 10th place finish overall while sophomore Trey Wall finished 19th in the field.
As a team the Racers carded 316+310+301=927 for the tournament.Â
"It was a challenging week with tough couse conditions," said head coach Jacob Miller. "We had a good opportunity to make up some ground, but unfortunately fell short. Lennon and Trey both had a solid tournament and we're looking forward to a couple of weeks of training before our next event."
Albans finished the week 12-over with Wall finishing at 14-over while Rocco Zakutney moved up 10 spots in the field today, finishing 17-over for the week.
The Racers will be back in action March 12-14 at The Peoples Championship in St. Simons Island, Georgia.Â
