Two Racers Receive CRCA Honors

Carlotta Salafia and Lea Soulé Named CRCA All-Americans
Two members of the Murray State rifle team were named to the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association All-American Teams.
Sophomore Carlotta Salafia was named a Third Team All-American in aggregate, an Honorable Mention All-American in smallbore, and a First Team All-American in air rifle. The Pezzana, Itay native finished the season with a smallbore average of 586.714, air rifle average of 597.667, and an average aggregate of 1184.381.
Following her freshman season in the Navy & Gold, Lea Soulé was named a First Team All-American in smallbore. The Osceola, Texas native finished with averages of 589.188 in smallbore, 589.643 in air rifle, and 1178.831 in aggregate.
"Really proud of the job these two did all year," said head coach Alan Lollar. "Rifle All-American cut-offs have gotten very high in the last few years, just like team scores. It took great consistency over the course of the year to be recognized as an All-American. It's a good place to start from next year."
