Racers Recognized by AVCA for Academic Excellence

MSU Earns Team Academic Award and Honor Roll Designation
Murray State volleyball received the 2026 Team Academic Award and was named to the Team Academic Honor Roll by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Thursday. Â
The Racers were one of 1,432 teams across all divisions to receive the Team Academic Award and were featured on the Team Academic Honor Roll, representing the top 20% of GPAs nationally by division. Collegiate volleyball teams qualify for the AVCA Team Academic Award by maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. 2026 marks the ninth time that Murray State has received the Team Academic Award and the fourth consecutive season winning the award. Â
"I couldn't be more proud of this group of ladies," said acting head coach Tristyn Krzos. "The work they put in every day doesn't stop when they leave the gym, and this recognition is a reflection of their drive and commitment to excellence in the classroom as much as on the court. We will continue to keep raising the standard!" Â
