Rifle Releases 2026-27 Schedule

The stage is set for Murray State Rifle's 72nd season.
The Racers announced their 2026-27 schedule Wednesday, a 12-match slate as Murray State looks to capture its seventh consecutive Ohio Valley Conference championship.
Murray State will compete in road matches at Kentucky, Morehead State, Ohio State, Memphis, Jacksonville State and Ole Miss, while hosting four regular-season matches at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range in addition to the NCAA Qualifier.
The Racers open the season Oct. 10 at Kentucky before traveling to Morehead State the following weekend. Murray State's home opener is set for Oct. 24 against Jacksonville State.
Conference play continues with a road trip to Jacksonville State on Nov. 20 before the Racers host UT Martin on Jan. 16 and Kentucky on Jan. 23 as part of the Withrow Invitational. Murray State closes the regular season Jan. 30 at Memphis.
The 2027 Ohio Valley Conference Rifle Championship is scheduled for Feb. 6-7 in Morehead, Kentucky, while the NCAA Qualifier will be held Feb. 20 at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range. The 2027 NCAA Rifle Championships are set for March 12-13 in Statesboro, Georgia.
