Episode 63 of the podcast features Austen Lane who becomes a Murray State Hall of Famer (Nov. 15). From small town Iola, Wisc, to Murray State, then to the NFL, Mixed Martial Arts, Sports Illustrated contributor and now a Jacksonville, Fla., sports radio personality, Austen has done a lot before his 32nd birthday. Competing for Racer football from 2006-09, he had back-to-back seasons as All-America and All-OVC, including the 2009 OVC Defensive Player of the Year award. Still the Racers' all-time sacks leader, Lane was MSU's highest NFL draft pick in 2010 when the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him as the fifth round. After playing five season for the Jags, Chiefs, Cardinals and Bears, Austen Lane picked up MMA fighting and is still committed to it now.

Playing for legendary coach Johnny Reagan in the early 1970s, Wurth returned to MSU as Coach Reagan's assistant for 11 seasons. Inducted into the Murray State Hall of Fame in 1992, Wurth's career as a player stands the test of time as does his career in Major League Baseball as an expert evaluator and scout. On the weekly Diamond Recap of the Racer Report Podcast, Murray State Baseball and Softball are playing in and winning big games in the last week. Dave Winder visits with head coaches Dan Skirka and Kara Amundson to get the inside look at the MSU squads. After a big week, MSU Baseball swept Illinois State in front of a record crowd and head to SIU for a showdown in Carbondale. The Racer Softball team is in the hunt for a MVC Tournament spot after splitting four games with Indiana State and SIU in the final games of the season at Racer Field.
