As the renovation goes forward at the CFSB Center, we thought this is a good time to explain more about Murray State basketball tickets and parking, plus we'll explore all of the various seating options you can enjoy in the 2026-27 season. MSU's Devin Gregory and Taylor Mudd join the show to provide answers. We'll hear from Murray State hall of Famer Jonathan Stark who is bringing a charity golf scramble to Murray on July 10 and the MVC and its member schools announced a planned leap forward for the Arch Madness postseason basketball tournament, as the men and women's teams play in the same place and in the same week in March 2027.

Dave winder has another installment of the Runnin' with The Racers Podcast, the program that has featured 68 Murray State Hall of Fame members. Coach Buddy Hewitt started his Murray State career as an all-star for Racer Football and later launched the Murray State men's golf program in 1961, and that led to him nurturing his student-athletes for next 41 years. Hewitt remains one of the larger-than-life figures in MSU history and was inducted into the MSU Hall in 1990. He passed away in 2015, three months from his 88th birthday. On the program today, his daughter Lynn Dowdy, current Murray State Golf Coach Jacob Miller, former MSU Coach Eddie Hunt and former Hewitt player John Hobby share their thoughts about Buddy Hewitt.

In Murray State Football lore, one of the biggest plays in the 100-year plus history of the program icame from kicker by Shane Andrus. In 2002, the Racers hosted the No. 2 Eastern Illinois Panthers, led by quarterback Tony Romo at Roy Stewart Stadium, and by the end of the day, Andrus had his moment. He booted a 52-yard field goal on the final play to give the Racers a share of the Ohio Valley Conference title. Among those who remember that day are the Voice of the Racers Neal Bradley and EIU's Mike Bradd, MSU Head Coach Joe Pannunzio and Andrus.

In the more than 100-year history of Murray State Basketball, there are a handful of games which creates the thought "How did we just win that game?" In February of 1994, Racers' head coach Scott Edgar and his team had one of those games with OVC rival Southeast Missouri when not only did they erase an 18-point deficit with 4:31 remaining, Marcus Jones scored five points in the final five seconds as the Racers clinched another league championship. Dave Winder is joined by Coach Edgar and Neal Bradley, the Voice of the Racers.

Playing for legendary coach Johnny Reagan in the early 1970s, Wurth returned to MSU as Coach Reagan's assistant for 11 seasons. Inducted into the Murray State Hall of Fame in 1992, Wurth's career as a player stands the test of time as does his career in Major League Baseball as an expert evaluator and scout. In is a this podcast that suddenly happened while Winder and Wurth were watching Murray State play at the newly renovated Johnny Reagan Field. With the end of spring workouts, it's a good time to catch up with Murray State Football Head Coach Jody Wright. When the Racers host Eastern Illinois (Aug. 27) it marks the 102nd season of Racer Football and the 54th season at MSU's Roy Stewart Stadium. It's also a big weekend at home for the Racers with the annual spring football scrimmage Friday, but also MSU baseball, softball and tennis all in action on home turf.
