In recent years, former Murray State football student-athlete, Cecil Wolberton, and some of his close teammates started a Facebook page for Racer Football alumni. Fast forward to 2019 and that page has more than 700 former Racers that either played, coached, was a support staff person or a supporter. The Racer Football Alumni Association is making a positive impact of MSU Football. Wolberton talks about how it all got started and the desire to see the Racers someday become Ohio Valley Conference champions. Also today, the Racers hold their final scrimmage before the season begins and Ja Morant is set to make a visit to MSU on the Memphis Grizzlies Caravan.

It's a big week of spring sports with an eye for the coming football season as Dave Winder reports on the week that was for the Murray State Racers on the Racer Report Podcast. Sprinter Serena Blackwood leads a group of MSU hopefuls to the MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, while MSU Baseball and Softball continue to thrill late in the 2026 season. In the more than 100-year history of Murray State Basketball, there are a handful of games which creates the thought "How did we just win that game?" In February of 1994, Racers' head coach Scott Edgar and his team had one of those games with OVC rival Southeast Missouri when not only did they erase an 18-point deficit with 4:31 remaining, Marcus Jones scored five points in the final five seconds as the Racers clinched another league championship. Dave Winder is joined by Coach Edgar and Neal Bradley, the Voice of the Racers.
