Episode 109 of the Runnin' with the Racers Podcast shines the spotlight on Joi Scott, part of the 2020 Murray State Hall of Fame class from Racer women's basketball. Playing for the Racers from 2003-07 for head coach Joi Felton, Scott left MSU as the OVC Player of the Year (the first for the Racers in 20 years) and the top two year scorer in program history. She was at the front of the rise of women's basketball at MSU that eventually produced 68 wins over a three-season period. Scott also set the MSU single game scoring mark of 43 points in 2006.

In the more than 100-year history of Murray State Basketball, there are a handful of games which creates the thought "How did we just win that game?" In February of 1994, Racers' head coach Scott Edgar and his team had one of those games with OVC rival Southeast Missouri when not only did they erase an 18-point deficit with 4:31 remaining, Marcus Jones scored five points in the final five seconds as the Racers clinched another league championship. Dave Winder is joined by Coach Edgar and Neal Bradley, the Voice of the Racers.
