Marcus Brown came to Murray State in 1992 and remains as one of the great basketball players of all-time as he played for Coach Scott Edgar and finished with Coach Mark Gottfried. Out of West Memphis, Arkansas, Brown was a three time All-OVC pick and twice named OVC Player of the Year. He was inducted into the Murray State Hall of Fame in 2010 when his No. 5 was also retired. A former NBA Draft pick by the Trailblazers in 1996, Brown ended up becoming the all-time scorer the Euroleague. Among today's topics is the day he was given the job of guarding Michael Jordan, his love for Racer Nation and why he's taken on the job of coaching boys basketball at his alma mater, West Memphis High School. Also today, we wrap up Ja Morant's big week at the NBA Draft and the start of his career with the Memphis Grizzlies. Combining for a school record 51 wins in a single season, the Racer Women are headed to the NCAA Tournament for a second-straight season and the MSU men are playing in the NIT. And we will also check in on the progress of the turf project at Johnny Reagan Field, the home of Murray State Baseball.
