Lots going on in Racer Nation as the calendar reaches mid-September. Our top story is the news that MSU Hall of Famer, Isaac Spencer, is set to have his jersey No. 31 retired. The big event will happen in the early part of the season for the Murray State men's basketball team. Plus a check on Racer soccer opening MVC play against Illinois State and the Murray State golf teams see excellent finishes from Peyton Purvis, Trey Wall and Ellin Tynan. And Murray State head football coach Jody Wright takes the Racers to his Alma Mater Jacksonville State this weekend.
