Our top story this week is Murray State Baseball getting two draft choices by Major League Baseball for the first time since 1994 and only the second time since 1965. Cade Vernon (RHP) was taken by the San Francisco Giants in the 10th round and Drew Vogel (SS) was selected by the Houston Astros in the 15th round. Also big news from MSU men's golf as Sam Guest and Trey Wall are set to play in a pair of national events at the PGA Junior Championship and United States Amateur.

Both Murray State Basketball teams are in action week as the postseason continues in 2026. Combining for a school record 51 wins in a single season, the Racer Women are headed to the NCAA Tournament for a second-straight season and the MSU men are playing in the NIT. And we will also check in on the progress of the turf project at Johnny Reagan Field, the home of Murray State Baseball.
