2009: Named to College Baseball Insider All-America ... It was his fourth All-America award in his MSU career ... Other accolades included second-team honors from All-Ping!Baseball ... third-team honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Collegiate Baseball ... As a senior in 2009 was 11-3 record with a 2.32 ERA and one save ... Struck out 85 and walked only six in 97 innings ... His 11 complete games established a new single-season mark at MSU and his 11 wins tied former Major League All-Star Kirk Rueter for the most in a single season ... 2008: Went 5-3 with a 3.00 ERA in 13 appearances and 12 starts...was 4-3 with a 3.28 ERA in nine OVC starts...team leader in ERA, complete games (6) and quality starts (8)...tied for the team lead in wins...struckout 67 and walked 15 over 81 innings...tossed five-straight complete games...earned his first victory of the season by striking out a career-best 10 and allowing only six hits in shutout innings against Central Arkansas...allowed one unearned run in a complete-game victory over Morehead State...surrendered just one run in the complete-game victory over UT Martin.

2006: Went 2-5 with a 7.99 ERA in 15 appearances and four starts...had 20 strikeouts to 18 walks...went 1-2 in OVC play in four appearances...first career win came against Akron...first career OVC win came against Morehead State...had a season-high five strikeouts at Arkansas State in five innings...had four strikeouts at Southern Illinois in three innings.
BEFORE MSU: Pitched four seasons at North High School...as a senior, helped the Huskies to a 24-7 record and a state runner-up finish, winning semi-state, regional and sectional titles...named to the all-city team and was named honorable mention all-metro.
PERSONAL: Born Daniel Robert Calhoun on Sept. 5, 1986...son of Bob and Sharon Calhoun...has a brother, Michael (19), and a sister, Melissa (13)...graduated from NHS with a 3.1 grade-point average...majoring in business and marketing.
