At Murray State
- Ben Hodges enters his fourth season as at Murray State in 2023.
- He is Offensive Coordinator and in charge of MSU quarterbacks.
- Coached DJ Williams to 2021 OVC Freshman of the Year honors, as well as a spot on the All-Newcomer team
- In his first season in 2020, coached Preston Rice to All-OVC second team honors
- Led an offense that led the OVC in scoring in 2021 with 27.6 point per game

- Hodges comes to Murray State after spending 2019 as the inside linebackers coach at The Citadel
- At The Citadel, coached Willie Eubanks to 2019 Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year and consensus first team All-American honors
- Hodges served as the linebackers coach/special teams coordinator at Saginaw Valley State for the 2018 season
- Hodges spent two years on staff at Western Illinois prior to his time at SVSU
- In 2017, Western Illinois’ defense ranked in the top 25 nationally in defensive touchdowns, forced turnovers, tackles-for-loss, rush defense and third-down defense
- In the spring of 2016, Hodges worked as a special teams quality control coach at Ohio State
- Hodges spent a decade on the coaching staff at Eastern Kentucky under then-head coach Dean Hood
- Notable players coached at EKU include 2006 All-American tight end Patrick Bugg, 2010 All-OVC wide receiver Orlandus Harris, 2014 OVC Player of the Year running back Dy’shawn Mobley and Super Bowl Champion tight end Matt Lengel
- Hodges served in various roles on the Colonels staff, including tight ends and receivers coach
- In 2015, Hodges made the switch to the defensive side working with the outside linebackers
- Hodges spent his final six years serving as the Colonels’ recruiting coordinator
- As recruiting coordinator, the Colonels won the 2011 Ohio Valley Conference championship and made two appearances in the FCS playoffs
- Hodges helped sign 50 first and second team all-conference selections while serving as recruiting coordinator
- Hodges graduated summa cum laude from Central College in 2006
- Majored in economics while minoring in business management and history
- In 2007, Hodges received his master’s degree in sports administration from EKU
- Is married to wife Courtnee, with two daughters, Maddy and Abby
