CJ Wimberly enters his first season with the Racers, serving as offensive quality control.
Wimberly came to MSU after spending two seasons as an intern with the Florida Atlantic equipment staff and Student Academic Athletic Center (SAAC).
Prior to his time with the Owls, Wimberly spent two seasons as the assistant head coach/co-offensive coordinator for the Broward County Bears semi-professional football team.
Wimberly joined the Coconut Creek High School coaching staff in 2008 as the defensive line coach and junior varsity head coach. In his three seasons of staff, he also assisted with the running backs and game planning.
He began his coaching career in 2005 as the junior varsity running backs coach at Stranahan High School.
In addition, Wimberly worked as an elementary educator for the Broward County school system from 2005-14.
Wimberly graduated from Florida A&M in 2004 with a degree in criminal justice. He received his master in sports management from American Public University in 2011.
