Before MSU
Personal
- Enters his fourth season as defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach at Murray State in 2022.
- Saw a trio of MSU linebackers honored including Eric Samuta and Cade Shupperd named All-OVC in 2022 and Cody Goatley earn All-OVC Newcomer Team honors.
- Coached the Racer defense to an OVC-best 345.7 total yards allowed per game, as well as a league leading 1.64 sacks per game in 2021.
- Helped Eric Samuta earn back-to-back All-OVC honors in 2021, as well as the first honor of his career for Darnel Victor.
- Led a defensive unit that produced the best pass defense in the OVC allowing just 180.7 yards per game in the air.
- In his first season in 2020, coached Eric Samuta to first-team All-OVCÂ honors and Alec Long to second-team All-OVC honors.
Before MSU
- Spent the 2019 season at New Mexico as the linebackers coach
- While at New Mexico, coached second-team All-Mountain West linebacker Jacobi Hearn
- Previous to UNM, spent three years as a graduate assistant at Kentucky
- While at UK, was a football quality control assistant and defensive graduate assistant working with linebackers
- During his time with the Wildcats, worked with Josh Allen, who won the 2018 Chuck Bednarik Award as the nation’s top defensive player
- Allen was eventually selected as the No. 7 overall draft pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars
- From 2013-2015, spent three seasons as a defensive graduate assistant working with Utah State’s outside linebackers
- While with the Aggies, Utah State ranked 17th nationally in total defense and 12th nationally in passing defense
- At Utah State, coached two NFL third-round draft picks in Kyler Fackrell and Nick Vigil
- Spent five seasons with the Colorado Ice of the Indoor Football League including the last three as offensive coordinator
- Began his career as an undergraduate assistant at his alma mater, Northern Colorado

- Graduated from Northern Colorado in 2010
- Majored in business administration and finance
- In 2015, received his master's of education in physical and sport education from Utah State
- Married wife Becca in 2018 and have a daughter, Karsynn, and a son, Kaden.
