- Spent 12 seasons at EKU where he served as a graduate assistant for a season before being promoted to the defensive line coach

- Coached 2015 OVC Co-Defensive player of the year Noah Spence
- Spent the 2003 season at Division II Wingate as the tight ends coach

- Four-year letterwinner at Eastern Kentucky where he was the starting center for three seasons
- Member of EKU's 1997 OVC championship team
- Earned All-OVC accolades in 2001
- 2002 graduate of Eastern Kentucky with a B.A. in geography with an emphasis in global studies
