- Johnson Richardson enters his fourth season as the Offensive Line Coach at Murray State in 2023. He served as Recruiting Coordinator his first 3 seasons and moves into the Co-Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line role in 2023.
- Helped Levi Nesler and Jacob Vance to back-to-back All-OVC first team honors in the spring 2021 season and fall 2021 season. Levi Nesler followed up All-OVC second team honors in 2022. Helped DJ Jones (2021) and Ashton Flinn (2022) earn Phil Steele Freshman All-American honors.
- Led a Racer line went from averaging 2.7 sacks allowed per game over the past five seasons, to just 1.0 in 2020.
Before MSU
- Richardson spent 2019 as the Tight Ends coach at the University of Richmond
- Prior to his one-year stint at Richmond, Richardson coached seven seasons at UNC-Charlotte
- Richardson occupied various roles on the staff, starting as an offensive graduate assistant coach before working his way into a full-time position where he coached tight ends and the offensive line
- During his tenure at Charlotte, Richardson coached two All-Conference USA selections in offensive lineman Nate Davis and tight end Chris Phillips, with the former being a third-round draft pick for the Tennessee Titans. Also coached Cameron Clark who was a fourth-round selection for the New York Jets in 2020
- Began career in 2010, as offensive graduate assistant at Wingate University
- During his 2 years with the Bulldogs, he served in various roles on staff including assistant offensive line coach, tight ends coach, video coordinator, while also handling director of football operations duties

- Richardson graduated from Wofford in 2010
- Majored in Business Economics
- Richardson was a four-year letter winner at Wofford (2006-2009)
- He helped the Terriers win the South Conference Championship in 2007
- Wofford appeared in a pair of FCS playoffs during his time on the team, including a quarterfinal appearance in 2007 and Southern Conference title
- Native of Charlotte, North Carolina
- Johnson is married to Rachel Richardson and they have a 1 year old son, JJ
