HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner for head coach Alphus Shipman at Abbeville High School...earned conference MVP honors as a senior after throwing for 1,583 yards and 31 touchdowns, while rushing for 964 yards and 15 scores...also registered 89 tackles, three interceptions and two forced fumbles as a defensive back...selected as the Alabama Sports Writers Association First-Team All-State quarterback as a junior...went 125-for-202 for 1,980 yards and 26 touchdowns...added 894 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground...hauled in 10 touchdowns as a wide receiver his sophomore season.
