- Won the est Kentucky Open in a playoff after carding scores of 69-70=139 to tie former Racer Josh Rhodes. Wheeler won the title with a 30-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole.
2017-18
- Appeared in 36 rounds with a scoring average of 75.6.
- Had a season-low 68 at the SIUEÂ Derek Dolenc Invitational which led to a 13th place finish on scores of 68-73-74=215.Â
- Finished 24th at the EKU Intercollegiate on scores of 72-70-73=215.
- Placed 18th at the Samford Intercollegiate on rounds of 79-73-73=225.
- Placed third at the Irvin Cobb  Championship with scores of 72-69=141.
- Competed at the Missouri State Amateur in St. Joseph with scores of 79-75=154 in qualifying.Â
2016-17
- Saw action in 35 rounds with a scoring average of 75.2 which was second on the team.
- Placed 17th at the Grover Page Classic on scores of 74-71-75=220.
- Placed 20th at the APSU Intercollegiate on scores of 73-79-72=224.
- Qualified for the Missouri State Amateur on scores of of 73-77=150.
- In match play at the MOAM, won first round match in 19 holes over No. 28 seed Brett Windsor and battled No. 1 seed Luigi Botta before falling 2 & 1.
2015-16
- Competed in 28 rounds with a scoring average of 74.7.
- Named to the OVC Newcomer Team.
- Had a low round of 69 at the APSU Intercollegiate.
- Turned in a 14th place finish at the Skyhawk Classic on scores of 73-75-73=221.
- Placed 15th at the APSU Invitational with rounds of 70-69-72=211.
- Made a hole-in-one at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Arizona at Palm Valley Golf Club. His ace came on the par-3 seventh hole  with a 5-iron from 204 yards.
- Had seven rounds of par or better on the season.
Before MSU
- Competed at Sikeston High School.
- In 2013, finished  third-place finish at the Missouri State Championship with rounds of 74-75=149.
- Won the championship of the College Recruits Missouri Invitational with scores of 69-72-71=141.
- Had a runner-up finish at the Big I State Championship with rounds of 77-72=149.
- Qualified for the Trusted Choice Big I National Championship at Pinehurst, N.C. and the National Optimist Tournament in Florida. Â Â

- Majoring in business administration.
- His career low round is a 65 three times, with the most recent coming at Fox Haven Country Club in St. Louis in 2015.
