Ashley N. Hayes enters her second season as a graduate assistant manager for the Murray State women’s basketball team.

Hayes, a native of Trenton, Tenn. comes to Murray after spending last season as an assistant at Humboldt High School.

Prior to coaching, Hayes played at Murray State. During her tenure at MSU, she helped lead the Racers to three-straight post-season appearances. She also helped the team to their first post-season win and second overall.

While at Murray State she was named All-OVC First Team and OVC Player of the Year in 2007-08 and 2008-09. She is a nominee for the Murray State University Hall of Fame this year.

After graduating Murray State, with a bachelor’s in organizational behavior, she played for four professional teams. She played for CAB Madeira, Herner TC, TSV 1800 Wasserburg, and the Connecticut Sun.
