Keisha McClinic is in her first season with the Murray State women's basketball team in 2015-16. Prior to arriving at MSU, McClinic spent three seasons as an assistant at Pensacola State, where she was also the recruiting coordinator.
While at PSC, McClinic coached a pair of First Team and Second Team All-Panhandle Conference players, six Academic All-Conference student-athletes and an Academic All-American.
From 2007-2012, McClinic was at the University of Alabama where she was a graduate assistant for two seasons and received her Master's in Sports Management in 2009. After that, she was the Director of Player Development for two seasons and spent the 2011-12 season as the Director of Operations.
McClinic spent her playing career at Middle Tennessee from 2000-04. As a team captain, McClinic earned MTSU's Defensive Player of the Year Award after she finished the season ranked fourth in the nation with 3.5 steals per game. McClinic finished her career appearing in the most games (120) in program history and ranked second in steals with 246. As a senior, McClinic helped the Blue Raiders upset 12th-ranked North Carolina in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
While at MTSU, McClinic was active on campus and in the community, as she worked with the Special Olympics and served an internship with an organization devoted to assisting patients with spinal cord injuries. She also served as a coordinator for MTSU's Camp for Adolescents.
McClinic served as an assistant at MTSU during the 2004-05 season, helping the team to a 24-9 record, that included a regular season and conference tournament title and a trip to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.
McClinic is a native of Stockbridge, Ga.
