Morgan Harrington joins the Murray State women's basketball program as graduate assistant manager.
Harrington comes to Murray State after a successful collegiate career at Missouri State and Lindenwood (Mo.). After two years at Missouri State, Harrington transferred to Lindenwood where she earned NAIA All-American honorable mention and first team All-Heart of America athletic conference honors for the 2010-2011 season. Harrington was hampered by injuries for much of the 2011-2012 season, but still managed to average 10 points and 4.2 assists per game.
Harrington graduated in May of 2012 from Lindenwood with a degree in sport management and is currently pursuing her master's in business administration at Murray State.
Both basketball and coaching are in Harrington's blood, as her father is legendary NJCAA basketball coach, Jay Harrington who has coached at Southwestern Illinois Community College for 35 seasons and is in the NJCAA Basketball Hall of Fame.
