- Graduate Assistant
Megan Wilson joins the Murray State soccer staff as a graduate assistant ahead of the 2026 season, returning to the Racers after a standout playing career from 2021 to 2025 that culminated in a senior season as team captain.
A dominant presence on the back line, Wilson capped her playing career in 2025 with conference and regional honors, earning First Team All-MVC, Missouri Valley Conference Defender of the Year, and United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team recognition, in addition to being named MVC Defensive Player of the Week. She led the team in minutes played that season while also making an impact going forward, finishing with two goals, four assists, and a game-winning goal.
Wilson's path to that breakout senior campaign was built over several seasons of steady development in Murray. In 2024, she appeared in 18 matches with six starts, scored twice, and put seven of her 19 shots on goal. The year before, in 2023, she notched her first career goal on October 5 against UNI and logged a season-high 76 minutes in the Racers' NCAA Tournament first-round match against Evansville. She first broke into the lineup in 2022, playing in 20 games with nine starts and collecting her first two career assists on October 9 against Illinois State.
Before her time at Murray State, Wilson developed her game in England, representing West Ham United's U21 side for two years and winning two School National Southern Cups.
Born January 9, 2003, in Maidstone, England, Wilson is majoring in Psychology. She has one brother, Oscar, and one sister, Beth. Her cousin, Samuel Bone, plays professionally for Dundalk F.C. in the top flight of Irish football.
