2011: Ran the third-fastest 6K time in program history and a PR at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a time of 22:30.80 ... ran a PR in the 5k at the Greater Louisville (10/1) with a time of 18:28.29, finishing in 13th place
Track and Field
2011-12: Finished fourth at the OVC Outdoor Championships (5/5) with a time of 39:04.28 in the 10K ... also finished seventh at the OVCs in the 5K with a time of 18:43.70 ... had a PR time of 17:44.20 in the event
2010-11: Participated in the 3,000 and the Distance Medley Relay during the indoor season...finished the season with a top time of 10:43.27 (3,000)...during the outdoor campaign she competed in the 800 (2:25.76), 1,500 (4:59.11), 3,000 (10:40.45), 5,000 (18:47.97), 10,000 (39:32.02), Distance Medley Relay and 4x400 relay...was one of 12 participants for MSU in the outdoor OVC Championship and helped the team finish fifth.
Before MSU: Was a two-year member of the Central Arizona Community College cross country and track & field teams...earned All-American honors in both sports in each of her seasons...ran a top time in the 5K of 17:41...ran cross country and track & field at Prospect High School in San Jose, Calif.
Personal: Born Rebecca Hbetamu, April 14, 1990, in Ethopia....daughter of Shewate and Hbetamu...graduated with an associates degree in general studies from Central Arizona Community College in 2010...majoring in integrated studies.
