At Murray State
Coach Sullivan enters his third overall season on the Murray State football staff and his first as the Director of Football Strength and Conditioning after being promoted to lead the strength program in 2024.

Before Murray State
Sullivan came to the Racers from UNC Charlotte, where he served as the Assistant Director of Football Strength and Conditioning under Lewis Carella. Prior to his time at Charlotte, he was an assistant strength coach for Georgia Tech football while also serving as the Head Strength Coach for the Yellow Jackets' cheerleading program.

Before transitioning full-time into strength and conditioning, Sullivan spent 11 seasons on the gridiron as a coordinator and position coach across various collegiate levels:

Clark Atlanta (2019–21): Served as Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach. Under his direction, Clark Atlanta produced two all-conference selections alongside the conference's top punt and kickoff coverage units.
Stetson (2019): Coached the defensive backs.
South Alabama (2015–19): Served in defensive quality control and coached the outside linebackers.
Wyoming (2013–15): Worked as a defensive graduate assistant coaching linebackers.
Oregon (2010–13): Began his collegiate coaching career as a student assistant working with defensive backs and outside linebackers at his alma mater.
Del Mar High School (2009): Served as the JV Head Coach.

Over the course of his coaching career, Sullivan has won two conference championships (Pac-10 and Pac-12) and contributed to four bowl game appearances, including the BCS National Championship Game, Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, and Arizona Bowl.

Personal
A native of San Jose, California, Sullivan is the son of Donna Sullivan. He resides in Murray with his wife, Gillian, and their two dogs, Rhea the Terrible and Belladonna. Sullivan earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon in 2013 and a master's degree in leadership from the University of South Alabama in 2017. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
