- Carnes, a former cheerleader with the Racers from 2009-11, returns to lead a critical part of the game day experience at Murray State University.
- Native of Benton, Kentucky, Carnes arrived at Murray State University in the fall of 2009 where she was part of the cheer program until 2011.
- She was on the sidelines in 2010 when Murray State men's basketball upset Vanderbilt in San Jose in the NCAA Tournament.
