At Murray State:
Tamela Darnell serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Business & Financial Strategy at Murray State University and has more than a decade of experience supporting financial, business, and administrative operations across multiple areas of the University.
She began her career at Murray State in the Computer Science and Information Systems Department before transitioning to the Small Business Development Center. She later advanced to the role of Finance, Business, and Administrative Manager for the College of Education and Human Services before moving into her current position in Athletics.

Personal:
Tamela earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2008 and her Masters in Business Administration in 2012, both from Murray State University.
Born in Murray, Kentucky, she was raised in Rapid City, South Dakota, and Paducah, Kentucky. She and her husband are proud parents of two boys, Cohen and Cayson.
