At Murray State
- Enters her ninth season at the helm of the Murray State women's basketball team in 2025-26
- Led Murray State women's basketball to a Missouri Valley Conference regular season and tournament championship in 2025 and the first NCAA Tournament appearance by the program since 2008
- Set the program record for wins against UIC on January 12, 2025
- Set program single-season wins record with 25 in 2025
- Coached Racers all-time leading scorer and rebounder in Katelyn Young as Young surpassed 3000 career points during the 2024-25 season
- Led MSU to a 20 win season and a WNIT appearance in 2023-24
- Tied previous school-record for most regular-season win in school history with 21 in 2021-22
- Led Racers to WNIT in 2021-22 for first time since 2009
- Led the Racers to the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in their first season in the conference.
- Guided Racers to back-to-back OVC semifinal appearances in 2020-21 and 2021-22
- Coached Katelyn Young to OVC Player of the Year honor in addition to placing a school record four player on All-OVC teams
- Led Racers to first .500 or better finish in 2020-21 in both overall and OVC play since the 2011-12
- Took Racers to the OVC tournament for the fourth consecutive season in 2020-21, where the Racers upset third-seeded Southeast Missouri
- Has posted a top-ten all-time free throw percentage in three of four season including a career-high 76.8-percent in 2020-21, which is the fourth best free throw percentage in school history.
- Following the 2020-21 season, Macey Turley and Katelyn Young were both named to the All-OVC first team, while Turley also earned All-Tournament honors
- Had a career-high three OVC postseason awards in 2019-20 with Macey Turley being named to the first team, Alexis Burpo being named to the second team and Laci Hawthorne being named to the All-Newcomer team
- Led a team that was picked 12th in the OVC preseason poll to a 9-9 league record and a sixth place finish in 2018-19
- Coached Macey Turley to 2019 Freshman of the Year and All-OVC second team honors and Evelyn Adebayo to a spot on the All-OVC first-team
- Has qualified for the OVC tournament in each of her first three seasons
- In 2017-18, she coached OVC Player of the Year Ke'Shunan James to a fantastic senior season in which she led the OVC in scoring at 21.3 points per game.
- The Racers won seven league games and earned a spot in the OVC Tournament for the first time since 2016.
- Coached Racers to 11 wins in her rookie season

Before MSU
- Spent 21 seasons as the head coach at Murray High School
- Went 460-178 at MHS, the 20th-most career victories in Kentucky state history
- Led the Tigers to 13 All-A Region 1 championships
- Four Region 1 titles
- Five District 4 championships
- Led MHS to the 2016 All-A State Championship
- Six-time All-Purchase Coach of the Year honoree
- KABCÂ First Region Coach of the Year in 2014
- Was inducted into both the KABCÂ Court of Honor and the Marshall County Hall of Fame in 2016
Playing Career
- Played at MSU from 1991-94
- Led the Racers in assists in the 1992-93 and the 1993-94 seasons
- Three-time OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll member
- Also played golf at MSU
Personal
- Native of Calvert City, Kentucky
- Graduated from Murray State in 1996 with a degree in Learning and Behavior Studies
- In 2001, graduated with her Master's in Reading and Writing from MSU
- Received her Administrative Certification in 2009 from the University of the Cumberlands
- Turner and her husband Travis reside in Murray and have two sons, Cade and Cadwell
