Racers Earn Second At SEMO Invite

Freshman Ryan Stichter earned a fourth-place finish to lead the Murray State men's cross country team to second place at the Southeast Invitational on Saturday in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
The host Indians won the team title with 34 points, edging out the Racers in second with 37 points followed by Arkansas State in third with 51 points.
Stichter, a native of Milford, Ind., covered the 5-kilometer course in 16 minutes, 04 seconds. MSU junior Brandon Lancaster (Central City, Ky.) was sixth with a time of a 16:13.
Senior Jeremy Burkeen (Benton, Ky.) was seventh with a 16:17, followed by junior Tim Bradley (St. Louis, Mo.) in eighth with a 16:18.
Sophomore Michael Sullivan (Princeton, Ky.) was 14th with a 17:20, while freshman Matt Hebert (Frankfort, Ky.) was 18th with a 17:52.
MSU will take a week off from action before hosting the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Futures Golf Club in Puryear, Tenn.
