She had 25 digs against Morehead State and 16 against Eastern Kentucky, both OVC rivals who challenged the Racers (14-4, 8-0 OVC) for the top spot in the league last week. Sun also had 15 digs against non-conference foe Southern Illinois.
Sun ranks sixth in the OVC with 4.03 digs per game overall, and leads the league with 4.69 kills per game. She is fifth in the OVC in attack percentage at .294 and seventh in aces with 0.38 per game.
Murray State has won a school-record 14 straight matches, including its last 13 OVC regular-season matches. The Racers lead the conference and ranked sixth in the nation last week with 16.92 kills per game and 15.58 assists per game, and have an OVC-best .280 attack percentage, ranked 20th in Division I.
Murray State returns to OVC action this week, starting a five-match road trip at Southeast Missouri State on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Racers then visit Eastern Illinois on Friday at 7 p.m.
