Bradley Finishes Sixth To Lead MSU At Commodore Classic

MSU junior Tim Bradley earned a sixth-place finish out of 129 runners to lead the Murray State Racers to a seventh-place team finish at the Commodore Classic hosted by Vanderbilt University in Nashville on Saturday.
MSU finished with 143 points, while Belmont University won the team title with 22 points. Louisville was second with 70 points, followed by Vandy with 114, Morehead State with 118, Southeast Missouri with 130 and Rhodes College in sixth with 141 points.
Bradley, a native of St. Louis, Mo., covered the 8,000-meter course in 26 minutes, 52.35 seconds to lead the Racers.
Junior Brandon Lancaster (Central City, Ky.) finished ninth with a time of 27:10.17, while senior Jeremy Burkeen (Benton, Ky.) was 26th with a 28:01.90.
Freshman Patrick Hammond (Lexington, Ky.) finished 53rd with a time of 29:20.64, followed by sophomore Michael Sullivan (Princeton, Ky.) in 63rd with a 29:59.52 and freshman Matt Hebert (Frankfort, Ky.) was 85th with a 31:35.71.
Up next for MSU is the Western Kentucky Classic in Bowling Green, Ky. on Saturday, Sept. 20.
