Volleyball signs Hubert

Murray State volleyball head coach David Schwepker announced the signing of Freeburg, Ill., native Kelsey Hubert for the 2005 season.

Hubert, a first-team all-conference player in her senior season this year, helped Freeburg High School to a 33-4 record and a regional championship. She averaged 4.06 kills, 2.37 blocks and 1.67 digs per game this season with an 89-percent serving percentage. The Midgets have a combined 115-29-1 record in her four seasons at FHS under head coach Jill Greefield.

She currently ranks 25th in her class of 171 students with a 4.81 grade-point average on a 5.0-scale. She has been named to Who's Who in Academics, has been on the honor roll all four years and is a member of the Spanish Club.

Hubert is the first signee for the volleyball Racers for 2004-05 year.
