Ward named OVC Player of the Week

Junior Jennifer Ward of Marietta, Ga., was named the Ohio Valley Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, according to a release issued by the league office today.

Ward, 10-8 in singles play this season, went 3-0 at No. 4 singles last week, and with teammate Casady Pruitt, went 3-0 at No. 3 doubles last week, improving their season mark to 16-4.

Murray State (6-3, 1-0 OVC) plays at Louisiana-Lafayette this afternoon, then travels to Memphis, Tenn., to play Southern Illinois and Memphis on Friday and Arkansas-Little Rock on Saturday.
